Recipe of the Week: Green Tea Smoothie

Smoothies are a great pick-me-up snack that can also double as a quick breakfast or meal replacement.  While opting to buy a smoothie at a local juice shop is great when you are on the go, there is something innately satisfying about making your own.  Making smoothies at home allows you to customize them to taste as well as lets you experiment with different ingredients.

One of our favorite smoothie recipes contains the goodness of greens and can give you a little boost with the addition of green tea.  The perfect breakfast drink, this one is sure to power you through your morning!

3 cups of white grapes (frozen)

2 cups of baby spinach or kale

1 ripe avocado

2 cups green tea (preferably strong brewed/steep 2 tea bags)

1 tablespoon honey

crushed ice

Add all ingredients to a blender, and blend until smooth.  Serve an enjoy!
